Improve you company knowledge
For a sales representative to answer questions about his company and its products or services, he should know the company history, its vision and mission, as well as have an in-depth understanding of what it offers. He must know exactly how what he is selling will benefit the client.
Become a better listener
Before you speak, listen to what the client actually wants. Don't interrupt them while talking, except to ask clarifying questions that can help you determine precisely how you can assist. Remember to ask open questions in order to get as much information as possible from the prospect.
Get organised
A successful sales representative must manage her time for appointments, calls, and visiting clients. In order to do this effectively she will need to keep a comprehensive diary detailing exactly where she should be spending her time. No more sticky notes!
Follow up and get feedback
Contact former and current clients to find out whether they are happy with the quality of your service - then act on their feedback.
