Certificates
Staff Training issues two types of certificates: Certificates of Attendance for non-SETA workshops, and Certificates of Competence for SETA-accredited workshops.
Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of Attendance, along with an attendance register, are issued electronically to the person who made the booking — typically within a few days of the workshop’s completion, as this timeframe is controlled by Staff Training.
Certificates of Competence
Certificates of Competence are issued only once the delegate’s Portfolio of Evidence has been returned and assessed, moderated, and signed off by external SETA moderators. Because this process depends on the SETA moderators, the timeframe is outside Staff Training’s control.
All certificates are generated from the attendance register that is completed on the day of training. The delegate must present his/her ID document at the workshop.
For your SETA
Certificates, the attendance register, and your invoice are required as proof of training for your relevant SETA.
Copies of certificates
Copies of certificates for learners are currently available upon request by emailing certificates@stafftraining.co.za with your ID number, full name and surname, and the course you attended.
Verify a certificate
For employers and HR managers checking a certificate noted on a CV.
Enter the certificate number printed on the PDF — not the delegate’s ID number — together with the holder’s surname. We confirm authenticity online, without exposing a public download.
