After many Stress and Time Management workshops and from personal experience, it is quite clear that we aren't always good at understanding where our time goes. This might seem strange to you; how can someone not know where how their days are consumed or their time is spent? Let's elaborate...

In our Stress and Time Management workshop, we ask delegates to actually plot where they believe they focus their time both at work and at home. This exercise never ceases to amaze because, virtually without exception, the delegates end up with hours of activity which the estimated total of their waking time simply can't accommodate.

So where do we lose/waste some of our precious time? Why can't we keep up?

A module of this workshop focuses on exploring our most common time wasters. Here are a few:

• Incorrect use of our electronic devices. Computers, cell phones, tablets etc. can, and often do, control us rather than the other way round.
• Lack of planning.
• Lack of self-discipline when it comes to following plans we have taken time out to formulate.
• Lack of competency in certain areas of our work life.
• Lack of team work.
• Poor communication skills or processes.
• Lack of assertiveness.
• Not effectively identifying and sticking to our priorities.
• Procrastination - we have whole module devoted to this dangerous time waster.
• Lack of interest or passion.

These are but a few of the most common stumbling blocks. There are many more and we identify and discuss tools specifically designed to help you over these hurdles in an effective and practical way.

Now put all of this into context of where we are as a society at this very moment. We have been through 2 waves of Covid19, currently facing the 3rd. We are stressed. Everyone, your employees, teams, friends, family are stressed and many are struggling with Pandemic Fatigue... Now is the time to focus on stress management! A big component of managing our stress, especially at work, is through managing our time to ensure we aren't constantly overwhelmed.
