I've included some “motivation-hacks†below, tried and tested!
1. Music
Create a playlist, include songs that get you fired up and feeling good! Music has an incredible way of affecting/enhancing our mood, so start your day off with a boogie – get the bounce back, literally!
2. Visualization
Our brains are superbly powerful tools, tap into this power by visualizing your goals.
Do this in the morning. This practice helps you to stay connected with your priorities, no use in working hard and getting so overwhelmed that you forget where you are headed.
And I don’t mean think about the obvious- “I need to make money†or “I need to lose weightâ€
Make it more than that, dig deep and also ask yourself the “Why?â€
3. Surround yourself with positivity
Positive thoughts lead to a positive life! So watch those motivational videos, write down your favourite quotes and make them visible… You can even start journaling- before bed write down a gratitude list of at least 5 things!
Self-motivation can easily evaporate with the morning dew by something as simple as a comfy bed after the alarm goes off. It does take discipline to stay focussed, after all I’ve heard it say the harder you work, the luckier you get and with enough luck, seeking motivation becomes easier and easier.
