Sometimes all we need is to take a moment to breathe and put things into perspective, now while you’re busy sorting out the latest mishap at the office it can be difficult to take a moment to breathe and sift through your negative thoughts.
So I’d like to ask you to take a moment after work, when things start to calm down, just ask yourself one simple question:
“What happened today that made me feel good?â€
You’ll be amazed how quickly identifying even just one good thing out of the day can shift your perspective. And boy is perspective powerful.
Are you perhaps grateful for the colleague that popped in and made a joke, leaving you with a smile on your face?
Or maybe you got a nice “thank you†email from one of your clients?
It is important for us to remember that even when things go wrong and it feels like it can’t get any worse, to look for silver linings. Cultivate a habit of gratefulness and watch how you transform yourself from “Super Stressed Sandy†to “Feel Good Feliciaâ€!
