Picture the perfect employee. Think of the traits and qualities this person might have.
I'll bet your list looks a lot like this:
Honest, Optimistic, Dedicated, Loyal, Respectful, Humorous, Encouraging, Fair, Motivated, Knowledgeable, etc.
What is most interesting about this list is that if you were to split it into Attitude vs. Aptitude every single trait would fall under Attitude. This means that all the qualities of the "perfect employee" are actually conscious choices that we make and not inherent skills that we were born with!
What this also means is that with minor (and sometimes major) attitude changes we all have the potential to become the perfect employee, or if you're the guy sitting behind the desk, the opportunity to educate your staff on how to adopt these kinds of attitudes in the workplace and go about improving their productivity and effectiveness.
Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "attitude adjustment", doesn't it?
