Can you believe that it’s December already? How are we almost at the end of 2020?!
What a year it’s been…

There's no doubt that 2020 was not what any of us expected. I think it's safe to say that we were all faced with a lot of uncertainty, stress and anxiety. But we were also faced with a lot of lessons...

It's important to acknowledge what we learned this year, not forgetting the awesome banana bread recipes and how to make pineapple beer, haha!

When it comes to personal lessons, it could be anything from learning how important self-care is, prioritizing taking care of your mental health, how to keep plants alive and so much more. I will leave this to each of us to explore personally, but please do take a moment to acknowledge your own personal lessons and successes, no matter what they might be!

With regards to some of the lessons we learned in a professional aspect, I would like to share some of my own, as well as what I have picked up through various discussions with friends, family, co-workers and even clients:

- The importance of effective communication for teams, managers and leaders

- The importance of equipping our teams with the tools and knowledge to manage stress

- The true difference effective and strong leadership makes

- Customer service training is REALLY important and not something any company can afford to drop the ball on

- Dealing with stressed or "difficult" clients is a soft skill worth paying attention to

(I could go on and on, but I'd hate to keep you here 'til Christmas.)

Can your team relate?

The truth is that investing in training is an investment in the success, well-being and empowerment of your organisation and team. So please do consider this when you are planning next year's training schedule and budget!
