Let's talk about that M word... Motivation.
Unfortunately, motivation is not always easy to find. The thing you need to remember is that motivation won't always be there, sometimes it comes down to discipline. There are, however, a few things you can do to go from "No Motivation Nelly" to "Super Motivated Sandy"...
Here are 4 things you can do to help you stay motivated and productive:
Write a list of things you would like to achieve that day/week or month.
Setting goals for yourself is a great way to stay motivated! Lists serve as a great way to remind yourself of these goals...
2. Plan ahead
Planning your day will help you stay on track.
Yes, sometimes there will be unexpected elements thrown into the mix, but you still have the big picture in your mind which serves as a good 'roadmap' for the day.
Planning ahead is the key to success! You know what they say: "Failing to plan is planning to fail".
3. Rest when needed
Motivation is at its lowest when we're tired. Sometimes we are so focused on our goals and deadlines at work that we don't give ourselves time to reset and recharge. Next time you feel your motivation levels dropping, ask yourself: "Do I need a break?"
Taking a break can take many shapes. It can be a 10 minute nap, taking a quick walk or just stepping away from the computer for a coffee break.
Top tip: Work some 5 min meditation breaks into your day.

4. Inspirational videos
This might sound cheesy, but there's nothing quite like a good ol' inspirational video to give you a motivational spike! There are so many cool videos on Youtube and Facebook, whether you need motivation to workout or meet a deadline... Sometimes all we need is a little reminder of how awesomely capable we are!

In conclusion I would like to remind you of the Japanese proverb that says: "Fall down seven times, stand up eight."
Read that again, read it as many times as you need to until it sticks! It doesn't matter what life, work or other people throw at you, stand up and stay strong... Because it doesn't matter how slow you go, how many breaks you need to take or how many "bad" days you have… As long as you keep going!
