Team Development with the Enneagram 2 Days

What is this course about?

This workshop is designed to be attended by teams. Any size from two upward to 15 maximum The Enneagram is a leading personal development tool and has been adapted to mathematically and scientifically calculate the tendencies and group dynamics in a team. Using team reports our accredited facilitators are able to help and guide the team leaders to eliminate behaviour-based risks.

What is the key content covered?

Pre-workshop Questionnaire

This questionnaire is uniquely designed to highlight Ennea Types, subtypes, lines of development, Tri-types and stress and strain profiles. Strengths, areas of development and preferred conflict handling modes are discussed along with habitual behaviour in times of duress. Counter-types and wings are identified as well. This invaluable report forms the basis for the Enneagram learning and our statistics are showing remarkable accuracy rates, based upon the delegates' feedback. The report takes between 40 and 60 minutes to complete and is designed at South African NQF level 4 English (Matric)

Introduction to the Enneagram Behaviours, Motivations and Fears

Each number is discussed indepth, with video clips, interviews and one on one exercises to further help strengthen and deepen empathy and understanding of our peers

Individual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

For each Enneagram type we highlight the world view, the virtue and the gifts that individuals bring to the table, this exercise is particularly powerful in helping us work to our strengths and recognise the strengths of others

The Team Profile, Interpretation

Each team has a unique team profile that can be calculated through mathematical aggregation or through narrative process of elimination. We allow for the individuals to expand on their profiles and interpret the team dynamics through this process

Team Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats

Using the above interpretation we work with a SWOT matrix to assist us in maximising Strengths and Opportunities and minimising Weaknesses and Threats

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a globally recognised framework that helps us to understand the nine different lenses through which individuals view the world. This view of the world is driven by both conscious and subconscious motivation and/or fear leading to the behaviour, actions, thinking, emotions and communication styles we choose to exhibit.

The Enneagram diagnostic tool that we use is designed to assist the individual in quickly identifying their preferred lense and subsequently identifying the impact of viewing through that lense, not only on themselves, but also on others and how they relate to others.

Why the Enneagram is such a useful self-mastery tool?

The Enneagram stretches beyond behaviour to motivation and fear, through this knowledge it awakens empathy and understanding of not only ourselves, but of others as well.

It brings to the conscious mind that which often remains in the unconscious, and because of this we are able to transcend the behaviour with negative consequences through making better cognitive choices - and the process is hugely simplified as soon as the Enneagram framework has been understood.

How to use the Enneagram?

The Enneagram can be used in a private and work capacity. It is used in life coaching, leadership coaching and in relationship coaching. The Enneagram for teams is used to strengthen team relationships and to make the team members aware of the untapped talent that is not being recognised. Similarly it makes individuals aware of their own gifts and talents that they are not paying full attention to.
