1. Where are the workshops hosted?

Durban
Sica's Guest House, Owen Avenue, Mayville/Westridge

2. Can you train at our company premises?

Yes, we need a white board and/or flipchart and preferably a boardroom or u-shaped learning area. We have, however, been known to train next to swimming pools and in small shady glades as well! Visit our inhouse page under venues for more information.

3. What do the workshops cost?

All pricing info can be found at the bottom of each workshop page.

4. What is the duration of the workshop?

Staff Training offers customisable, short workshops varying from one hour sessions to 4 day workshops. Full day workshops typically commence at 08h30 and end at approximately 16h30.

5. Are you SETA accredited?

Yes, Staff Training is accredited with Services SETA. Skills Development Levy contributors can claim back from the SETAs on our training. (Please see the SETA page for more information.)

6. How many people attend the workshops?

We believe an optimum group to be between 8 and 16 delegates. We seldom exceed 16 delegates at a workshop, as we believe that the personal attention received is not sufficient.

7. How do we pay you?

Upon booking an invoice is generated with all the payment details that doubles up as registration confirmation. Payment is strictly in advance.

8. What happens if the delegate does not progress at the same pace as the rest of the group?

At Staff Training we believe that our strength lies in the trainers we utilise. They are all empathetic and dedicated trainers whose main quality is their ability to include everyone in the discussions. On the odd occassion where we have felt that a particular delegate did not stay with the group, we have offered the client a repeat workshop for the delegate either free of charge or at a largely reduced rate - this action, however, remains at the discretion of the Staff Training management.

9. What if I am terribly shy? Do I have to speak up in front of other people?

Once again, our trainers are particularly good at what they do. You will be incorporated into the workshop at the pace the trainer thinks you are capable of. We have had extremely shy people "rap" for us at the end of a workshop. You arrive a stranger and truly leave as a friend!

10. Do you have any workshops that last longer than one or two days?

Yes, we customise inhouse workshops regularly. The client is able to browse through the modules that we have on offer and mix and match those creating a specific workshop for their staff. Our trainers are often called in to do a needs analysis with the client and then opt for the best combination of modules from there.

We also offer learnerships that run over a period of one year. For more information on our learnerships, please see the Learnership Page.
