I have never been one for air conditioned buildings and hotel room living. I feel totally stifled in these.
It’s not that I don’t appreciate the use of an air conditioner on a sweltering hot day, I just don’t want to be in a windowless building with air conditioners each day every day!
This bodily comfort plays an even bigger role when we are learning. It is virtually impossible to concentrate when your body is screaming for rescue. It is for this reason that at Staff Training we choose guest houses with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in which to do our training.
Personalised service, a home-away-from-home feeling and the ability to break away from the group and sit in the garden for a minute or two pondering the latest theory.
At iNkosi Eco Lodge in Cape Town, our hosts are Lize and Ursula and they continue to wow our delegates with their delicious meals.
At Oaklands Inn in Johannesburg, Thea and Charity have been our “partners†for years and they have worked hard to provide top notch service.
Nonthu at Sica’s Guest House in Durban provide a beautiful venue for us, with astounding luxury and comfort.
In Polokwane we use Bolivia Lodge, which is not a guesthouse but a conferencing facility that carries all the charm of one! Various bungalows gives this venue it’s African Bushveld feel and our delegates are always superbly comfortable there.
We would like to thank all of the staff at these venues for their continued efforts to make our delegates feel welcome.
Also did you know that all these venues are easily reached by public transport?
Hope to see you at one of these soon!
