National Receptionist Day

Do you support our campaign for a National Receptionist Day, to be celebrated on the 2nd Wednesday of every May?

Fill in your details below, this petition will be forwarded to the Department of Labour as well as the Department of Arts and Culture for implementation on the National Calendar.

The reasoning behind our campaign is two-fold.

Firstly we believe that National Receptionist Day will help promote pride and professionalism in the position itself.

How can we as a nation strive to improve our client care, our approach to business and customers, if we don't start with the
very frontline of our companies? If each and every receptionist out there realises their worth, the impact they have on our
clients and consequently our successes, if each and every receptionist out there takes immense pride in dealing with every
customer they come into contact with, our economy would benefit greatly.

At Staff Training we believe that the proposal of this simple concept will assist us to achieve these goals
.

Secondly to give recognition to receptionists country wide.

At Staff Training we believe that this frontline position is one of the most unforgiving and thankless jobs to perform.
Maintaining a professional equilibrium while pandemonium is breaking loose in your office is not for the faint hearted.
Being in the public face at all times is taxing- ask any celebrity! The difficulties faced by these ladies and gentlemen across
the globe are seldom recognised by colleagues and clients, at Staff Training, we would like to change that!

To all our receptionists country wide - Thank you, Siyabonga, Enkosi, Dankie

This is not to be confused with secretaries day in September!

Receptionists are the gateways of our companies, big and small
Their cheerful voices ring out on the line, on every call
They direct and they orchestrate, they enquire and they inform
They are the music of communication as well as the firewall
