This Year Will Be Different - [website]

Who remembers the New Years resolutions they set for themselves last year? I do…vaguely.
The problem with New Years resolutions, or shall we call them NYRs, is that they are often set with very little forethought.

“I’m going to stop smoking,” “I’m going to lose ten kilograms,” “I’m going to put away enough money to go on holiday next year.”

While all these things would be terrific, the reality is that without a fair amount of planning on your part these are not goals for the New Year but merely dreams.

Oh I know they may feel like goals for the first few weeks of January as you vehemently go to gym, deny yourself a cigarette and stash your remaining cents from the Christmas rush into a piggy bank; but then life starts to happen again and you’re suddenly too busy to go to gym, too stressed out not to smoke and depressed because you smashed open the poor piggy bank while looking for loose change.

You don’t have to end up here, however, and NYRs don’t need to be something you can just never seem to get right. By approaching NYRs from a SMART perspective you’ll find achieving them is no longer a chore but something measurable and richly rewarding – and quite possibly life-changing depending on your resolutions….

Make 2012 the year that really counts, do all that you set out to to the best of your ability and achieve all the goals you set yourself no matter how big or small. If you need some inspiration or motivation, or advice on setting goals check out Staff Training on Facebook.
