Paul Arden has published a little book titled It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be.
It’s a long title for a short book. As a quick pick me up, it did the trick. Ironically I read it just before reading the article
The most controversial audition for Georgie and the progress for Jessica, could be one of the best spring boards Georgie has ever been given, likewise it could be one of the biggest stumbling blocks Jessica has ever been given…
The idea is that if Georgie wants it badly enough, she will work harder, faster, smarter and more creatively and come out with an individual hit single or album – mainly because she refuses to be boxed by the thinking of others.
If Jessica believes that that she has it, is potentially a winner and could be everyone’s idol, she may just do that. But will she take it further?
This same thinking has lead me to believe that the Springbok Rugby side currently may be the Georgie of the world. This Tri Nations fiasco could be the best springboard we have to catapult us into winning the world cup next year.
Winning certainly feels good, winning builds confidence and winning can also lead to mediocrity… just some food for thought.
