How to Keep What You've Got - [website]

Finding the perfect staff members for your organisation can seem like a nightmare (and in truth it usually is), but once you’ve found them the question is: how do you keep them?
According to a study conducted in the UK by employee training company LearnDirect, it was found that one of the main reasons people leave their jobs is because of a lack of staff training.

“Two of the most common reasons for staff leaving a company is poor management and a lack of training and development opportunities.

“This is according to exit interviews, which are often used by firms to establish why staff are leaving,” said the British company.

Without a high level of staff retention you end up re-training numerous employees for the same position, which is a waste of time, money and productivity.

The most successful businesses regularly provide their workforce with opportunities to learn and enhance their skills, leading to knowledgeable and motivated staff that are unlikely to grow bored in their current environment.

If the reason for low staff retention is because of poor management it’s then vital that the issues are addressed before they can affect the entire department.

Courses like Developing Your Management Potential teach managers exactly what their role in the organisation is, how to set goals and standards and how to get the best from their employees during the working day.
